The symbol of a hog

Jefferson was declared guilty for the murder of three men. The defense attorney had called Jefferson a hog during the trial.He said "Why, I would just as soon put a hog in the electric chair." A hog is a domestic pig over 120 pounds and reared for slaughter. A hog doesn't know or do much they usually eat, drink and sleep, just like Jefferson. The defense problably said what he said to prove that Jefferson wouldn't had done such a crime. The remark affected Miss Emma, Tante Lou but it mostly affected Jefferson. When Jefferson heard that the called him a hog he believed he was one. He even acted like one. He ate like a hog in front of his teacher Grant. He also said things like "Oh Hog don't care what people say", or "Corn for a hog." His godmother Miss Emma was very upset that they called her boy a hog. Her wish was for Jefferson to die like a man , and not a hog. Thats why she talked to proffesor Grant so he can help Jefferson to becaome a man. Grant't aunt Tante Lou was very concerned about her friend Miss Emma. She would always convince Grant to go visit Jefferson or to bring Miss Emma to see Jefferson. Miss Emma would always bring food to Jefferson. She would bring fried chicken,baked sweet potatoes, bread, and tea cakes. Jefferson thought that they were fattening him before he died just like a hog.
